Offshore Wind Community Advisory Group

Are you passionate about renewable energy and committed to making a long-term impact in your community?

We are seeking dedicated volunteers in Patea, Hāwera, Waverley, Stratford, Ōpunake, Eltham, Manaia, Whanganui and New Plymouth to join our Community Advisory Group, which will play a crucial role in informing the feasibility of offshore wind in South Taranaki.

As a member of this group, you will:

Hear from us on the progress of our investigations into the offshore wind project.
Bring the voice of your community to the table. We want to hear about the information that the community would like to receive, what the concerns are, what skillset exists in your community etc.
Help bridge the gap between the project developers and the community, ensuring transparency and engagement.

We expect to hold the meetings every two months at various locations throughout South Taranaki. Some travel may be required.
