Offshore Wind Industry Capability Mapping Study
Taranaki Offshore Partnership (TOP) is a joint venture between NZ Super Fund and Copenhagen Infrastructure Partners (CIP). CIP has offshore wind projects that are in development or operational in Australia, North America, Europe, and Asia.
In New Zealand TOP is looking to develop an offshore wind project in the South Taranaki Bight and has engaged Concept Consulting to complete an offshore wind capability mapping study.
Our study shows that development of an offshore wind industry would create a lot of new opportunities for workers and suppliers.
We are now looking to understand the readiness of workers and organisations in Taranaki to take up those opportunities. We are also identifying possible actions to get ready for an offshore wind industry, such as training for new jobs. The survey will provide information to help us with the study.
Why participate in the survey?
By participating in the survey, you will help to ensure that local organisations are well positioned to benefit from development of an offshore wind industry.
Participation also means you can register your organisation’s interest as a potential future supplier of goods and services to an offshore wind industry.
The survey takes about 5-10 minutes to complete. Thank you in advance for your participation.
Readiness scale
Limited readiness | Some experience in other sectors but significant preparation (e.g. plant investment) required to serve offshore wind industry.
Moderate readiness | Extensive relevant experience and only limited preparation (e.g. cross-training) required to serve offshore wind industry.
Full readiness | Currently providing this category of product/service to other sectors.
